Canadian threatens Vicks Vaporub

VICKS V BUCKLEY’S

According to Wikipedia, W.K.Buckley Limited was a Canadian medicines manufacturer founded in 1919. It appears that in 1941, Buckley’s started selling its Wintrol Rub in Australia – advertisements appeared in Tasmanian, Queensland and South and Western Australian newspapers. Buckley’s Wintrol was entering a market where Vicks Vaporub was well established. Wintrol claimed to be different – it acted in 3 ways and was a cream not a greasy rub.
