Ephemera News

A Collectable about Collecting

The ESA has always produced its own well designed ephemera. And in this regard has benefited from the efforts of eminent Melbourne designers (including Mimmo Cozzolino, Phil Ellett, Natasha Dumais, Andrew Budge, Susannah Low and others) and design students from Swinburne University.

Ephemera News was the ESA member newsletter published from 1987 – 2015, issues 1 – 51.

A collectable in its own right, Ephemera News was created in a myriad of formats and styles including folded as a napkin, with an individually applied wine stain, printed on a paper bag and in the shape of a 45 record.  It featured an eclectic mix of research articles and information.

Ephemera News ceased production in 2015 after the publication of #50.  (Which followed publication of #51 in 2011.)

Ephemera News was superseded by the Ephemera Journal of Australia which was launched in May 2015.

  • Hi Jen, next year happy to promote your fair and conference say 6, 4 months out. I think I would look a bit of an idiot to advertise now – we are a long way from the east coast of the USA. And we don’t have many USA based readers. We are about $5000 and 20 hours away – not a quick decision to come to your terrific fair. Next time I be would time very happy to help.
