Archie dies in shooting

ARCHIE HAS LEFT THE BUILDING, HE HAS PASSED AS THEY DO IN THE USA. YES HE HAS DIED.

There is a report from the US, in The Australian 16 July 2014, that Archie has died. Archie is now 73 (we have missed a few years it seems). He died stepping in front of a bullet meant for his gay politician friend. Our image of Archie has him a few years short of 73 years.
